YOZA

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does YOZA do for me?

YOZA gives you a profile page clients can find, a calendar they can book directly, and an app to manage your appointments and see what you've earned. You stay in control of your services and prices.

How do clients pay?

Clients pay you directly: cash, MoMo, however you work today. YOZA doesn't handle money between you and your clients. At the end of each month, we send you one invoice for your subscription and commissions on bookings we brought you.

What's the commission and when does it apply?

We charge 20% commission on a client's first booking with you through YOZA, and 5% on every repeat booking. If a client books you 10 times, you pay the 20% rate once and 5% for the other 9.

Why is the founding price lower?

The first providers who join help us build YOZA. In return they pay 50,000 RWF/mo instead of 100,000 RWF/mo for their first 12 months. After that year the standard rate applies.

What if a client cancels or doesn't show up?

Commission is only charged on completed bookings. If a client cancels or doesn't show, you owe nothing on that booking.

What happens if I want to cancel?

No lock-in. You can cancel at the end of any billing month. Your profile comes down, and no further invoices are sent.

Is my data safe? Where is it stored?

All YOZA data, including your business information and your clients' booking history, is stored on servers located in Rwanda, in compliance with Rwandan data protection law (Law 058/2021).

Is YOZA actually live yet?

We're onboarding our first founding providers in Kigali right now, in person, one at a time, so we can get the calendar and booking flow right before opening it up more widely. Joining now means you help shape it and get the founding price for your first year.

What phones will the provider app work on?

Android and iOS. Neither is released yet — we're onboarding founding providers in person now so you're set up and ready the day the app launches.

I don't have many clients yet. Will this still work?

Yes — YOZA is built to bring you new clients, not just manage the ones you already have. That's the whole point for a provider who's growing.

Still have questions? Join YOZA and we'll walk you through it.
